Moving Service FAQs

What kinds of moving service do you handle most often?

We regularly handle condo moving, apartment moving, townhouse and house moves, office moving, student moving, packing support, furniture disassembly, and short-notice local moving across Toronto and the GTA.

Do you help with condo elevators, stairs, and parking issues?

Yes. These are some of the biggest pricing and planning factors. Elevator booking rules, long carrying distance, stairs, downtown parking, and narrow access all affect labor time and the final quote.

Can I get a quote by sending photos?

Yes. Photos plus pickup and delivery addresses are often the fastest way to get an accurate quote. Item photos, floor access notes, elevator details, and parking conditions help us quote the real job more accurately.

Delivery Partner FAQs

What kinds of factories and suppliers do you work with?

We support cabinet shops, millwork suppliers, garage door companies, glass door and window businesses, stone and quartz fabricators, plant vendors, appliance suppliers, warehouses, and jobsite-focused businesses that need reliable last-mile heavy delivery.

Do you only transport, or can you place the cargo inside?

Many B2B jobs need more than curbside drop-off. Depending on cargo and access, we can help with room-of-choice delivery, careful placement, jobsite unloading, and staged handoff to installers or site contacts.

Can you support recurring delivery partner work?

Yes. Recurring routes and repeat product categories are a good fit. Once we understand the cargo, volume, access conditions, and timing expectations, we can help standardize the intake and quoting process.

Specialty Moving FAQs

Do you move pianos and other difficult heavy items?

Yes. We handle upright pianos, baby grands, heavy appliances, stone tables, statues, and other oversized items that require liftgate trucks, piano boards, dollies, wrapping, and careful route planning.

Why do piano and stone jobs need special review?

These jobs often involve high value, unusual weight distribution, fragile surfaces, stairs, elevator limits, tight hallways, and parking restrictions. That is why we ask for photos and access details in advance.

Are extra charges possible for specialty jobs?

Yes. Large appliances, pianos, marble, glass, complex staircases, difficult parking, condo booking requirements, and rural routes may require extra labor, tools, time, or travel fees.

Marketplace FAQs

Is the marketplace a full ecommerce store?

No. It mainly presents used pianos, removal and recycling intake, stone products, and custom heavy-item inquiries, with transport, delivery, and placement support included in the overall service.

How does free piano transfer work?

For pianos that remain functional and need to be removed quickly, we may take them away first and transfer them later to the next suitable user. The next user normally pays the moving and delivery fee rather than an item cost.

Do you also handle custom stone and monument work?

Yes. Some stone products can be coordinated through partner factories in China, followed by international shipping, GTA delivery, and final placement support at the customer property.

International Moving FAQs

Do you offer Canada-China moving support?

Yes. We support selected Canada-China moving inquiries, including household goods, furniture, pianos, and larger custom jobs with partner support and custom quoting.

Is international moving quoted like local moving?

No. International jobs need custom review based on origin, destination, cargo list, packing needs, shipping method, customs-related steps, and final delivery requirements.

Pricing & Contact FAQs

What is the minimum charge?

Most local moving jobs start with a two-hour minimum. After that, time is billed in 30-minute increments, and an empty-truck or travel fee applies based on distance.

What are your base hourly rates?

Mini van or cargo van rates start at $60 per hour for one mover with vehicle and $90 per hour for two movers with vehicle. A 26-foot truck starts at $110 per hour for two movers, with higher crew sizes quoted according to the published pricing table.

What is the fastest way to contact G&T?
